I'll shortly be re-wiring my entire house, but wondered if i should wire the boiler to the downstairs main ring (using a switched FCU) or should it be on it's own circuit? It's wattage is 270W.

Any opinions or advice appreiciated :-)

There is no reason why you can't put it on the ring main, as it will draw just over 1 amp. In this case you would put a 3 amp fuse in the FCU to protect the boiler in case of an internal fault.
