Hi all I work long hours and don't get a chance to weed garden, I am wondering if I need to do a final weed kill with round up before winter arrives or will the cold weather kill the weeds for me?

    you can do.

Roundup is Glyphosate with a brand name and price tag, you can get supermarket own-brands of Glyphosate

It is only absorbed through the green leaves so will do no good if it touches the soil, where it is inactivated. You need to apply it in growing conditions when there is still sunlight and warmth.

on paths and paving you can use Pathclear which prevents seeds germinating.
