should the motor in a 3 port valve get red hot

having trouble with my 3 port valve,when only asking for hot water the rads are getting hot as well,took the cover off the 3 port valve and the motor is very hot ? thanks

I would say warm to touch, but not red hot.

Sounds like the valve body has stuck mid position.

With the head off, can you turn the spindle freely?

Personally I would replace the entire valve

the spindle seems to turn freely,prob just change the lot,thanks
