Evening, all. Our bath and shower have a pump fitted, and I'm used to hearing it going when I'm running the water for either of them, but I've recently noticed that occasionally when I turn the hot water tap for the adjacent washbasin on or off the pump gets triggered for a second. Is this usual/common? It's a bit disconcerting.

Assuming that by dual you mean for both the hot and cold water, I'd say dual. More than that I can't say - it's all hidden behind the tiling, or something - maybe behind/under the bath, which is a fitted walk-in one and I can't see any way of getting at it easily to find out.

You can't get to the pump? I'd certainly advise that is the first thing that needs to be arranged. Pump's shouldn't be sealed in, by their very nature they do need servicing and the connections etc may also need access.
