HI, can someone advise on the type of fitting to use to mount a shower-head gooseneck.
The neck has a 1/2" BSP thread but how do I mount it after tilling the wall?
Or do I fit to the wall using a female backplate and then just tile around, using the coverplate to hide everything? I'd have thought there should be fittings available that would allow you to fit the goosneck after everything is tiled and finished???

Thanks

tile female to 15 copper in wall at fixed height , then ptfe and screw it in when tiling set

I was thinking of that but how do I know I'll be able to get the gooseneck straight? It may end up off centre at the point that it's tight enough not to leak but won't take another turn to straighten up.

If thats the case then take it out and put an extra couple of wraps of PTFE on to make it tighten at a different point.
