Shower Tray / Enclosure

Hello,

I am planning on having a low level mira flight 1200x800 tray fitted with the enclosure area being tiled. However i was unsure whether to use 4upstands, to silicone or whether to actually use a tanking kit within the enclosure to prevent possible penetration of grout in years to come.

I was just hoping for some advice on what other have found.

I am not a fan of using silicone to seal trays to the walls. I would much rather use one of the MS polymers like CT1.

I have seen too many sloppy plumbers who smeared the silicone up the walls. At least the tile adhesive and grout will stick to the likes of CT1.
