Hello All ,

I have a stonecast 800x1000 tray that i intend to fit next weekend , i did think maybe i could put down some 12mm WBP on to the floorboards and have an access panel from underneath (kitchen) should the worst happen and leaks occur . But , i think i'm going to go with a frame instead .

4x2" 1m lengths x 4

4x2" 800mm lengths x 2

Topped with 12mm WBP and the mortar mix

Do you think this is adequate or overdoing it ? would be grateful for any other hints or advice

Thanks in advance

Derek

Have to say follow the instructions. Some demand 18mm ply though others just have 5 legs.

As I understand it , you`re going to raise the tray up :?: .personaly I ripped one out of my house when I bought it, and laid the tray on the floor.assuming the waste on yours will work like this..I used to maintain a Hotel..........40 shower cubicles.......couple of dozen leaks over time........ALL were tiling/grouting failures.not one was the trap/waste,and they were installed in the 60`s :!: ie.they`d been sitting there for 30+years
