If you shut the mains cold water off in a house. And you have a mains pressure hot water cylinder on the top floor. By turning off the mains would this stop the water for coming out the stop tap on the kitchen or would it still drain the tank to the hot water draw off point on the cylinder

I imagine the pressure in the cylinder even with the mains off would keep water coming out until the level falls below the level in the cylinder. Cylinder is in the 3rd floor kitchen tap ground floor. Or am I wrong?
Correct in saying you'd still have 0.6 bar coming out untill the water level in the cylinder drops below that pipe. Is about 6meters above the kitchen sink. But if the hot feed came directly out of the top shutting the cold mains would stop the flow of water straight away
