I've been playing on Paint Shop and built a side extension fairly easily.
If only real life was as easy.
My house is on a slope and the only house around here where the garage is at a lower level than the house, which is annoying as many others have been able to extend into theirs.
So my grand plan was to raise the level of the garage and extend the kitchen into it. If I wanted to get a rough idea of price, do I need a builder or would it be an architect? I'd really just like to get a rough idea of whether this is possible and a ballpark figure of cost... I'd be interested also if anyone has done similar and how much you paid.
