Side Return Extension

Hi,

I am looking to get a glazed side return extension. the area is roughly 13.4ft x 5.9ft. To make this as open as possible I am considering knocking down a few walls.

1) Living in east London, I want to get a rough estimate of what it would cost.
2) How long would this work take
3) Where I have drawn a blue arrow currently sits a window from a recent extension, behind the window is a shower room - if I take out the shower room how can I get air and light into the room, whilst still maintaining privacy.
4) will I need planning permission?
