I have some sidewall bumps on my Front tyres, which were pointed out during the last service. Its a BMW with run-flats. I'm assuming this is pot-hole damage which I understand Run-flats are not great at resisting.

I'm assuming my car wont pass the MOT with this and I need to change them both asap?

Blimin annoying as they both have a good 5-6mm of tread left. They are 225R19 40 profile I think and this looks like £400 for 2.

Unfortunately, your tyres have suffered severe sidewall damage - either by kerbing or running them flat for too long.
replacement is necessary I'm afraid.

If your are changing from manufacturer's specification, tell your insurance company. Re Johnny2007's post.

Yes, check on your owner's manual what tyres you can mount.
Usually you'll have an option apart from run flat.

And be more aware of pot-holes and/or bumping up the kerb. Sidewlls don’t like those!

I live in Surrey, there is a reason everyone drives range rovers. Our roads are more hole than tarmac.
