i have had a look at the hager website but you cant order from there
where online can i get a hager twin rcd unit like the one pictured above
if i go for the two cu option can you reccomend a suitable main switch.
is the exsisting main trip not the property of the supply company.
many thanks everyone for some good advice.........
How do you have a single pole residual current device. What do you compare with what?
Ah, got it. you mean it does not break neutral on a fault. Yep, tricky, see what you mean about the time delay issue. Is there an official line on this yet?
OR a mix of 30mA & 100mA RCBOs for everything - no RCD device covering more than 1 circuit....
OR a completely split board a la Hager one above with 30mA RCBOs for the sockets and a single 100mA RCD for everything else - you would then be slightly better off than with a conventional split-load.
so can i order a split load hager board (as above) online ?????????
would it be possible to get a MK split load board and with some extra bits make up a twin rcd + main switch the same as the hagar ???
rcbo,s are a rather expensive option unless someone can tell me a cheap place to get them.
you could do it if you can get two cables of sufficiant size in the outputs of the main switch
given that the spcified terminal capacity is 50mm you should be able to do it but it may be a bit tight if possible i would say use 16mm XPLE (either singles or cores taken from SWA) to do this (16mm PVC would be pushing it on current rating and getting 2 25mm cables into the terminals is likely to be hard).
another way would to to come out of the CU to a pair of henleys and go back in but thats a little messy.
what is used on the hager board for the cables from the main switch surly the terminal capacity is the same, ?
has the mk board got 3 neutral bars as the hager has, ?
am i making more work for myself than i need to, ?
