Single socket?

Hi would I be able to put a single socket and piggyback off the switch on the wall?

Just need a single for a WiFi extender

I think I can recall @bettz1 proposing to do something similar with the same FCU…

Ah - some context:

 
As long as the circuit has RCD protection then yes, if it doesn't you could get an RCD socket or even change the FCU to an RCD type to protect whatever's on the circuit.

I don't like seeing the gardening tools so close to the unprotected cabling, could easily get damaged if not careful.

Yes I did but ended up getting an extension lead instead.

I've still got trouble with the WiFi in the garage, it's be handy to have a plug there as it'll be closer to the kitchen extender.

I think it has lol it's got a fuse switch in the fuse box.
 
Those are all MCB's, an RCB, or RCBO will have a button marked T or TEST. You need to have one of those, protecting your new socket, or at least use an rcd socket. I would suggest a metal-clad socket, and arranging some form of protection for those cables.
