i think i have alot of kitchen waste around the pipe on the kitchen sink becaulse the drain flows ok but thaite is a slight smell comeing from the sink sometimes stuff gets stuck just below the plug hole. Would i be able to get to it by unscrewing the screw that holds the plug hole cover on? thanks

don't unscrew it or else your waste will fall off underneath!

there will be a plastic nut holding the trap onto the waste. undo this to give you access. be careful as the trap will be full of water. tip the water down the loo or outside and not into the sink!!
