A lot better than some of the stuff one sees.
This is one of RF's:

(One of his photos I mean, not one of his installations.)

(As far as I know. :D)

Apart from the tails entering the wrong side of the isolators

What makes you think thats wrong? (clue: look closely at where the DNO seals are)
I am obviously missing the subtle point here! Referring to the first photograph. Brown should mean live yes? Blue should mean neutral yes?
So the seal man is wrong and the person that followed should have either called him back to fit it properly or refused to connect it up.

no one likes a T&E sub-main .

Care to expand on that statement ?

It's always in a large house conversion and I like to see just one earthing conductor (rather that the 6mm cpc and 10mm making up the 16mm for a PME supply). That's if there is a separate 10mm run in.

Usually the T&E leave a Wylex switch fuse that has been hacked away at the top.

Often the issue of leaving unsheathed conductors when terminating.

Probably nothing technically wrong with some of the things I don't like about them it's just I'd prefer to see an armoured sub-main.

I'm sure some more things will come to mind...!

I was referring to the second image posted by SMN. The tails from the meter should enter the bottom so they can be sealed leaving the top part to be removed by the contractor.

Although looking at the second photo again they don't look like REC2 isolators so maybe an invalid comment of mine. I'm sure on the REC2 though the bottom cannot be removed without the top coming off, hence supplier tails into bottom - sealed, and contractors tails in the top.
