got a bathroom ceiling that i want to plaster over,it has a textured finish on it at the moment not to thick,can it be skimmed over or will it be best to put a bonding coat on first then skim??

got a bathroom ceiling that i want to plaster over,it has a textured finish on it at the moment not to thick,can it be skimmed over or will it be best to put a bonding coat on first then skim??

How thick is it? Anything over 3mm give it a coat of bonding to bring out flush then wait till set and skim. I would probably use a bonding agent first before you plaster
You can usually go over it with a couple coats of multi finish.
Seal the ceiling first, Febond blue grit is a good bonding agent.
