Skimming textured ceiling

He got banned for going bonkers one night.
Went on a mad rampage! I think peaps touched a nerve

Wrong!!! He was on tiling a few days ago. Banning peaps/primer was the best thing to happen on this forum for a long time.

he must of got a ban of some sort as he was missing for weeks after said night.
Maybe richard C can confirm/deny?

Anyway i agree the forum is a poorer place without BOTH R C and peaps

I never believed a word he said, nor did many others who told him straight The only people who miss him are the arse lickers who ag reed with every word he spouted.

haha rich is watching hes thanked you, i had a sense he was watching

Richard C is sulking cuz I kicked his butt. He'll get over it.

To be fair, i think one of my first posts on here was disagreeing with the way peaps suggested for rendering over wooden panels. He was suggesting what would be the cheapest option rather than the best. Think he is a stubborn git at times and some of his posts were a little harsh but if i was needing to know something on lime plastering(something ive never done) then i would of went to peaps first. Do we even have a lime specialist on here anymore?

Richard, get stuck back in

For the record I was never & have never been banned & (Alistair) I’m not on my “annual” in Florida (Spain actually). I just can’t be asred anymore with the constant trolling & bickering with some of the twwats who now seem to inhabit the DIYnot trade Forums

Inevitably, you set yourself up as a target if you are a (very) long standing & daily contributor; there is a certain element of new contributors (or alter ego’s) who will go out of their way to target you &, sometimes, even certain long standing & even missguidedly respected ( by me) contributors will jump in on the act because they just love to stir it up. Some of the advice on trades has definitely gone downhill which is a shame but it’s up to Mods & Admin to sort out their act, monitor & get rid of the “dross” if they want it to remain a successful & serious trade advice forum. I will continue to take a watching brief & you never know where I might pop up but until this Forum makes sense again, I will not be posting any formal advice.

Thanks for the “clown” comment dmplastering; not sure it’s warranted or why you feel that way unless your yet another “alter ego”; but I see Mods seem to have deleted it anyway.

Joe, in no way did you or will ever be good enough to kick my butt; you’re just a very knowledgeable fake which, ironically, is all you accuse others of being! ;)

For the record, it was me that called you a clown. But only because my last memory of you on here was your idiotic repetative posting on that night. Was rather irritating and you accused me of being an alter ego of peaps which was laughable.

I miss the "old crew" from when I joined, Richard C, Roughcaster, Roy C, trowelmonkey, and others which arn't in the forefront of my memory. Come back and contribute lads.

As for Peaps and his constant banging on about lime, it's not a viable option for a DIYer and not a very cost effective method of working in this day and age, but thats just my opinion. There are other options and they are not as archaic either.
