I'm putting in new skirting boards, which are stained wood. The walls are not completely level with a few indentations along them. What is the best way to attach the boards. Bend them to follow the wall profile? Or put straight and use filler? (hoping not!).
Also with the boards being stained, don't want to see screws etc. Does the plug cutter thing in screw fix leave a nice finish as in it'll barely be noticeable, or shall i use lost head nails. Oh the walls are a mixture of brick & plaster and dry wall and plaster!!

Cheers

I would stick them on with No Nails, or something similar.

I would use Gripfill, which will securely bond your skirting, and also fill gaps behind.

You just need some way of holding it position while the Gripfill dries.

I use paving slabs on a bit of old carpet..... .....but it works.
