Hi,
My house is old 1860s and in the 1930s or maybe later it was rendered and painted white with the big size bricks drawn in - if you know what I mean!
Well over the years hairline cracks have appeared all over it and it looks really tatty. I have to repaint the front in white soon to smarten it up a bit but painting over the cracks won't make them go. I wonder if anyone could tell me if there is a product that is thicker than paint that would conceal these cracks so I could do both jobs at once. I have tried to fill them in a while ago with filler but the filler showed through the paint and the cracks still showed - it looked worse than ever! It just needs a really good thick something or other all over it that is paint as well.
Thanks!

Hello Myra and welcome back :p
I would think that you need whats known as a high build masonry paint - maybe something like Johnstones Stormshield Jontex or a simlar product such as Sandtex Trade High Build Masonry paint to cover the cracks etc.
The Johnstones stuff is better for an existing rough finish, and its best applied by spray or roller I believe (I've brushed it though!).
Lets hear what the others say!
John :)

That sounds like the stuff!
Thanks - you never let me down! :)
