If I want to install a dual voltage shaver socket, do they only come in the one large double socket back box style size? I've only so far been able to find a smaller shaver socket on amazon if I opt for the UK standard 240 voltage.

Is it permissible to place a shaver socket within 600mm of a shower area, if there is fixed glass shower screen separating the shower area from the shaver socket?

They should not be selling it as suitable for bathrooms. But as an accessory for another room, it is safe.

That’s not the point. Our friend is talking about a room with a shower.
So, not kosher for the application that he is asking about.

That doesn’t mean they should ban them for sale.

I agree, but most sellers have a note to say (this is from Edwards site)
MK K700WHI 200/250v Shaver Socket NOT for Bath or Shower room

amazon does not list this warning.

    I think it’s
Written on the back, but a bit late when purchased.
