Captive screws? They can be pretty well jammed sometimes.

TBH I can't remember if they were captive ones backed out too far, or regular ones done up too tight.

The FCU's are fine, you just need to gently press against the fuseholder, whilst screwing in the holder retaining screw.

That is indeed my technique, but I've come across a fair few where, despite pressing and subsequently, in my frustration, pushing hard on the fuse carrier while tightening the screw, it just will not sit flush with the rest of the accessory. If you then try to compensate by doing the screw a little tighter, all that happens is the screw starts to go off an an angle and the whole thing looks a complete mess.
