Hi, our kitchen sliding door was broken and we wanted some more space near the back of our kitchen for cabinets so we have fitted a new french door in our kitchen that is 25cm less in width than the old one.
We filled the gap with a wood framing, plasterboard on the inside, some left over celotex PIR inside the framing, and for now just OSB to keep weather out on the outside with foam sealing around.
For the last depth of the gap cavity finish would we be okay to close it up with membrane and then marine plywood on top sealed with silicone etc. Then we would tie in the outside with our current horizontal slat wall fence for the visual aspect of it all for the exterior (the gap is close to a fence outside).
Any suggestions or opinions would be helpful thanks.
(In the picture attached don't mind the extra random buttons on the left. They are temporary to block off a small gap)
