Correct, there is no heat value in UV, assuming John really intended to type UV rather than IR. The graph, posted earlier, clearly shows a wide spectrum of IR passing through glass.
Eh? I did, indeed, intend to type UV.
There is more energy (which manifests as heat when absorbed by things) in the shorter-wavelength UV than in the longer-wavelength IR.
... unless, that is, physics has changed in the decades since I was at school and uni
