I have an awful smell in my kitchen, but it is not there all the time, sometimes you can come into the kitchen in the morning and it hits you then another day its not there, then all of a sudden it appears. which has appeared since we had our new kitchen fitted with appliances, we have had our new boiler checked, my husband has pulled out the washer it doesnt seem to be coming from the sink,

Can you give a better description than awful? Is it musty , decay , fishy or whatever?
Has the cat gone missing for example?

are your outside drains clear?
if they have recently overflowed, this can lead to smells, try some Jeys fluid down them, strong disinfectant with quite a pleasant smell.

how long ago was your kitchen fitted??
was there any notable problems fitting the kitchen??

You may need to fit an anti syphon trap, on the sink. Is the appliances waste pipes connected in to the sink or do they have there own up stands. Pipe may need venting. Really need more info..
