Heard story of someone getting fined for not having it.

I know it has to be a minimum size, but unsure where to stick it :)
What is the legal requirement, a cab driver friend said one in the top left windscreen covers the front two doors and that seems to be the norm on black cabs up london so would a two door van be the same as that.

Our fleet has them all fitted (looking from the inside) to the top left hand corner of the windscreen, outside the sweep area of the wipers.

Thanks,
Still unsure though is the idea to see it from inside, or outside before you get in. :?

The sticky one they have give me will only be visible inside.
If I stick it on the outside windscreen it will not last long

The letter we received only specified that there needs to be a sign 85mm x 85mm (minimum) stuck in a prominent position in the van. We just stick em on the dash.

Why is it that we British remind me of the Elloi from H G wells' "The Time Machine" ?

does that make the yanks the morloks?

If I remember correctly and the law hasn't changed then the only thing you are legally allowed to have stuck to your windscreen is your tax disc.

I know this isn't really enforced by the boys in blue - it seems they take a common sense approach - i.e. it's OK so long as it does not obscure the drivers view/is outside windscreen wiper swipe area but it's worth bearing in mind should you get pulled when they're determined to find something wrong...

MOT certificates come with a sticker your supposed to stick to the windscreen.

Where it promptly falls off the first time your windows steam up.

The one in mines been on there for for 16 months. Yes it's had an MOT and passed it since but I couldn't be bothered putting the new sticker on and AFAIK it's not a legal requirement to stick it on.
