I have done for family & friends, incedently when people say RGI do they mean corgi registered or ACS qualified only, its just when you pass your ACS your details are registered with corgi so in effect you are registered, the corgi registration is just a bit like joining an exclusive golf club innit!?

Not exactly!. Technically you aren't Registered until they accept you. They can do some checking eg that you're who you say you are.

Surely they have once you receive the certificates?? Are peoples interpretation of RGI a corgi one or ACS only??

RGI=registered gas installer=you must hold a valid corgi card in your name/
company registered operatives are only covered to work on gas during working hours,technically you are incompetent after 5pm mon/fri and weekends.
