In my eyes, Dave won but only because I agree with his policies....but if I was completely oblivious apart from this debate, Clegg probably would have won my support...let's face it, he could promise everyone their own unicorn to take them to work if he wanted to.

what was there to win?

it's a bit like asking people which is the best footie team in the UK? it depends who you support, and if you;re not into footie, then none of them...

for me... Brown was never invited to take that job, so he should get ousted, plus i think he's a clinical liar...

I personally think that whatever they promise now is purely bribery... they never deliver these promises.... it's just posturing!

Exactly - http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=221147

Anyway, there seems to be some promises of a referendum on something (elected house of lords?). Bit like the last promise of one on the lisbon(?) treaty

there should be a quarterly (or 4 monthly) referendum.. asking what we want..... At the end of the day those overpayed politicians seem to think they rule us.... but we elect and pay them... we should also be able to control and 'slay' them..... regular refernda... would give them an idea obaout how they're performing!

It's a nice idea Martian but the cost would out weight the benefits! :?

On the subject of party leaders, although it blows my anonymity on here - my cousin is the current president/chairman of Solidarnosc in Poland.

Strange, but true.

Mean while back at your post... Brings to mind good old Lech Walesa. He was a good Catholic boy. There's not many of us left you know.

Indeedy not - fortunately

Strange to think that my cousin J (he brought his family over for a visit about 15 years ago before he was famous   ) will probably have known one or two on that ill-fated flight.
