Socket blown

I think I overloaded one of the double sockets in the garage. There was a pop and everything plugged into the left socket went off. The right side still works .

None of the switches have tripped.

After a minutes, I tried the left socket and it works but the on off button feels really spongy, doesn't click.

Do I need to replace the front plate of the socket?

Yes. Replace the socket BUT make sure you isolate the circuit before you take anything apart

Likely yes, I renewed one in my own house and found the plastic had warped once off.

Probably needs replacing.
