Socket In Bathroom!

Not unique by any means, but seen the original invoice for this 50's install which states

"socket mounted on bathroom ceeling (sic) for safty (sic)"

so what code did you give it (i'm assuming you found this on a PIR)

i'd say its a code 4, not compliant with BS7671 but its being used for a device with no flex and it would take some effort to plug anything else in.
 
Having done alot of work in France, it is COMMON practice there to have sockets in the bathroom. They are on radial 16A circuits protected by an RCD and supplementary bonding. Most houses have them!
 
This house had no RCD, no MEB, no supplementary, VIR everywhere, no cpc's on lighting, the full monty!
