Socket - neutral open

Evening , periodically a fuse related to downstairs sockets trips . I checked all sockets to find one indicating an open neutral using a socket tester . Will this cause the trippping ( there is never anything plugged in) if so what is the fix ? Thanks

Its not connected , or intermittently so, if you can isolate the circuit safely, remove the socket faceplate and tighten the neutral terminal.
