Although I have had many sofas, due to "borrowing", second hand and "long lost dead great aunts". I have never had the pleasure of buying my own. All the major stores out there DFS, Suite land etc have endless discounts, summer, spring, autumn and winter sales!! can anyone advice if "haggaling" is accepted at say DFS?

bartering or haggling is acceptable anywhere.

just politely ask "is that your best price?".

if they say yes it is, then reply good day and walk out.

In my experience, DFS stands for "Doesn't F*ck*n Show". Ours took months to arrive after bring promised 4 weeks. When it did turn up, it didn't last long. It soon needed replacing. Would never shop there again.
Bought the last settee from Harveys - they were spot on and the settee has been brilliant. Will be going there when this settee dies. Looking at it, that'll be some time yet.
