Hi there!

We have lately installed 20 soffit vents to circulate the air into the attic as we were getting a huge amount of damp walls and mold growing. We saw a complete change yesterday as the wall was dry all day with no dampness whats so ever. However this morning I awake to see the entire wall this time has been covered in dampness. (We have -1 temps and a freeze) so I can only assume the damp hasn't had time to dry out yet?

We bought a dehumidifier to help and that has drained 10mm of water ALREADY. Is it normal for this to happen even after adding sufficient ventilation?

i wouldnt bother with a dehumidifier
as long as you have decent circulation it will dry out naturally

what you are in effect doing is putting the dehumidifier out side and trying to dry the damp air
