Solder or compression fitting on mains stop cock?

Starting to make sense now. Was wondering why a compression fitting was being used further along the pipe work.

Measured either side of the fitting, one side is 70mm and other is 66, so looks like compression will be the way to go. Unless there are other soldered options?

use compresion, once everything else is sorted you can shut off the supply and do whatever you want , I hate speedfit of any make , but that is me I am a pro and will not use them

Thanks will do. Is the 22mm x 3/4" male compression coupler the right one to use?

just get a 22mm compression straight and an imperial olive, just in case, here they are called green rings, as they had green paint on to signify that they were 3/4, only cost pennies , so if you dont need it you havent wasted any money, if it is 22mm you wont be able to push the 3/4 olive on, if it is 3/4 the 22mm olive will be too slack

Great thanks.

Also come across this 22mm to 3/4" solder fitting. Not worth the risk with the pipe freezing kit?

well you dont know what you have, you have been told the safest way to do it, if you want to freeze it , rope your wife up, buy shares in screwfix, then fill your boots lad, you asked for advice, but just do as you please, but please post a video if you feck it up
