Hi All

From my last post, I have enquired with several suppliers and have found a nice looking solid oak t & g source. The sample I have is 18mm thick. my question is:
Can I remove all my floorboards (half of them are up already), lay a plywood underlay and then the oak on top
Or should I lay the plywood on the existing floorboards and then the oak. My preference for the former is the floorboards are very uneven and not level (it would also give me a source of reclaimed wood for the rest of first floor)
Any advice??

Many thanks

I think it's up to you, both suggestions would work well.
Just make sure the supplier doesn't supply you with only the smaller lengths (some discount wood suppliers are notorious for that)
