You don’t get mould / damp in a sealed space .

If you create a cavity wall system with an warm room touching an insulated wall, touching a cavity, touching a cool uninsulated wall, touching the world.. and then allow warm moist air from the house side of the insulated leaf, to circulate into the cavity, you cause damp/mould/condensation in the cavity
