We are having an old school type radiator fitted in a loft bedroom. We are agonising over the type of valves. We dont like our bedroom to be too warm even in mid winter so think maybe thermostatic valves are best? The person fitting the radiator is of no help and recommended normal valves which are much more attractive than the thermostatic ones. Oh dear - we are in a quandry - as the thermostatic valves we have seen seem very ugly!

All advice gratefully received

Have a look at the Chartwell valves by "MHS" come in both standard and trv type.

room stat and zone valve would also do it
