Sound Proofing

Not sure if in the right thread but here goes. My house is a semi-detached and the joining wall to the neighbours is **** poor as you can hear everything that goes on from her on the phone to hoovering up to closing doors. Even when i'm upstairs you can hear her plugging in the hoover in her downstairs living room!!!

Does anyone have any ideas to sound proof the joining walls as its getting on my nerves now.

This is one of those exam questions which are one sentence long but the answer is four sheets of A4.

I think this has been done to death on here ... dense materials, and an isolated frame is the synopsis.
