Spaced out "up top"

Nice simple one for you. I intend to board out the loft for storage (using 8 by 2 moisture resistant flooring chipboard), so to strengthen the joists and avoid having to faff around re-routing wiring I intend to screw some 63 by 36 CLS studwork timbers to them (at 90 degrees). So, what is a good spacing to use between them?

space them to fit the loft insulation rolls that you are going to put down. This might be about 600mm
