Hi

unpacked my new integrated dishwasher last night to install and discovered a split in the waste hose.

As it's so close to xmas and the likely hood of getting it repaired/replaced under warrenty before then is nil is there any thing I can do to temporarily fix it ?

Him indoors reckons I could cut damaged end off then use a connector and hose extension, will this work? or should I just tape it up?

cheers

don't tape it up

you can buy a new hose

but contact the supplier before you do anything or they might say you have invalidated the guarantee.

but if i buy a new hose I'll have to open up the back of the machine to fit it won't i?

If you tip it over onto its back you will probably see how the hose is attached. It may have a stainless jubilee hose clip or some inferior substitute.

(you can buy a new hose clip at a motor parts shop quite cheaply)
