I've installed spot lights throughout the ceiling of the upstairs landing. The backs of the spotlights are pertruding into the loft space and insulation. Is there a standard way of solving this, so I can move about in the loft and also replace the insulation safely ?
I am intrigued now. Why is it stopping you from moving about in the loft?
Cut the insulation around the lights - about a 20cm square ought to do. Alternatively teracotta pots can be placed over the lamps and the insulation laid over the top. (Seriously)
