Hi
One if the spotlights in our bedroom came out when changing a bulb. After faffing around trying to put it back I have made the hole bigger and now light won't stay in there.
Any tips on how to get it to stay in?

Thanks

Your need to refabricate the hole. Filler is rubbish since the spring retainers will mash the new filled hole.

Get some plaster board make a polo mint, a circle with the inner hole the size the spotlight fitting requires.

Cut it in half, butter with no nails and place each half inside the ceiling. Let the no nail sset.

You now have a inner hole in the ceiling that is firm enough to bond or fill the original ceiling area. Bond or fill, let it set, tidy up any overhang with a hacksaw blade or Stanley knife.

You now have a hole that is firm, supported and ready for decorating. Refit the fitting, job done.
