Spring clamp removal tool (door gasket) question

Is there a cheaper alternative Spring clamp removal tool for the door gasket replacement that will do the job like these;-

I have tried with screwdrivers and all sorts but the string is very hard to budge

I found two screwdrivers (Like what you'd use to tighten screws on glasses) and bent them around to form a hook. I used them to remove the band on Miele washing machines.

Honestly these LG retaining springs and very very tough to get back on. I had 2 screwdrivers taped to a G Clamp and it ripped the tape off and another attempt with more tape it bent both screwdrivers.
