My mother recently took the car, a 54 plate micra to the garage to get him to fix em.
He said he'd cleaned the dust out of the drums..but still squeels when braking about 50% of the time when the brakes are applied.
no noise at all or really loud on each occasion.
Not sure if he's neglected to use copper grease on the components?!

Any ideas on what I can do with the brake drums while in the Indian summer is on?
do i need to buy replacement hub nuts or just stick old ones back on?

take it back and tell them to do the job properly.

as you say,i would agree lacking of copper grease.this would be my 1st thought.

The front ones squeak too!
Personally I clean mine out with a massive blast of compressed air - wearing a mask and outside, of course :p
Its not a bad move to bust the glaze on the drums with some emery cloth, too.
John :)
