Ssssssshhhhhh, don't mention Reform.

When you say 'Millionaires' do you mean people with a million pounds in cash that they can land their hands on immediately or people who, through hard work and buying a house years ago that now live in a house valued at a million pounds but just living on a state pension?
Both.

Some people don't like wealthy people getting benefits. "Benefits should only be for the poor".

In the same way that healthy people are not offered free hospital beds, the Fire Brigade doesn't squirt water on your house if it is not on fire, and the NHS does not provide free doughnuts to the obese.

Yes exactly because the process of weeding out those who do not need it costs more than just giving it out to all pensioners of a certain age in the first place.

That is my fear. It is the worst of all worlds.

don't be silly..

the NHS and fire service are universal. The Fire service do not charge me an annual subscription because I can afford to pay.

The people of this country are suffering real hardship due to cost of living, NHS waiting lists, loss of public services.

But here we have Reform party MP more interesting in yet another culture war: Banning Burkas.

Even her children think she is a moron

Sir Kier's answer was detailed and thorough and addressed the question well as always.

Latest polls show if there was a choice between Keir Starmer and Nigel Farage, one of those is way ahead of the other.

Yet people still complain when a wealthy person pays for private medical treatment.
“Queue jumpers”. As if the NHS owns the consultant.

Unfortunately for kier the system doesn’t work like that. He’s got plenty of time to get his act together.

As long as he doesn’t go for another 30bn in tax rises. Oh wait.
