Would you prefer the king to freeze to death? It's wrong.

Would you prefer the king to freeze to death? It's wrong.

Not anymore.Even the King gets it.

yes well I have noticed the poor old sod has his heating on less nowadays. I bet he cant wait for Farrage to get in.Not anymore.

Look at it this way, how much do you think the palace gas bill is to put their heating on? how much does a poor pensioners house cost to heat in comparrison, therefore the King gets the same amount of heating allowance but will not stretch as far as the poor pensioners heating bill. It is very fair. Not anymore.

Exactly my point.I know 4 OAPs (5 when my Dad was alive) who did not need the Winter fuel allowance. They gave it to charity.

entitled

No I actually mean that when they reach the age of 65 that under the previous governments policy, they were entitled to receive it regardless to their financial circumstances. It was taken away from them as an entitlement by the current party but I understand that he is about to do a u turn on that. I do not see a problem with a weathy pensioner receiving it under this policy. I do believe it is fair if they have paid into the system. They are free to use it as they want. As one has said that he knows 4 pensioners who gave it to charity, Very decent of them and they are free to choose what they do with it.All that means is that a law says they get it.
If the law is changed then are no longer entitled.
Did you mean to say that there is a justification?
Sure. People are well known for their honesty in returning money. Why dont they just make an option to return the money.
If you dont need/want it return it, simple.

I know good plan isn't it.Sure. People are well known for their honesty in returning money.

I do believe it is fair

They do not have to though so those that do is a bonus anyway.I know good plan isn't it.
