Ssssssshhhhhh, don't mention Reform.

All those pensioners who do not need it will --
spend it = VAT receipts
Horde it and have inheritance tax applied in the end
Give it to children/ grand children who will buy stuff and increase the economy.
Maybe turn the stat up so they are not cold ( remind me again the VAT on domestic fuel )
Every penny will end up back in the public purse - meanwhile stupid Starmer has lost votes
Give it to everyone then if it is cost neutral.

Exactly - back to before Starmer removed it.
Finally we got there - thank you
That was hard work to arrive at the only sensible conclusion and how it was before Labour thought it was a good idea to selectively give it out and those who now receive it look upon it as a handout. What a shameful government.

Why should a millionaire 70 year old get it and a poor 64 year old not?

Aveatry says it doesn't cost anything anyway.
Yes exactly because the process of weeding out those who do not need it costs more than just giving it out to all pensioners of a certain age in the first place.
And those who did not need it-- then it will work its way through the tax payers account as I have explained.
Starmer had no need to **** about with it other than to punish OAP voters who he sees as only ever going to vote cons anyway.
But starmer did not factor in that all those aggrieved pensioners telling their grand kids why they can not afford to give them so much Christmas and birthday money this year - those very youngsters who starmer wants to give a vote to because he thinks they will vote for him. He hasn’t got a clue.

Because one is entitled by age and the other has to wait a further year then he or she would get it. It's very fair that way. Your argument is as silly as saying why should an 18 year old be allowed to drink in a pub and a 17 year old cannot.
