Stamp duty

FFS. It was my mates mother in law. He told me everything. He is intimately aware of his mother in laws finances. His wife and her brother have a financial POA for their mother. I had no need to assume anything. I don't care what you assume or what you believe. You are wrong, you know nothing about them. Give it a rest, you’re coming across as one argumentative ****. You are just trying to dig yourself out of the hole you are in. I’ll not be discussing this with you any further.

Billy knows best.

He told me everything.
Then it's a shame you omitted some of the information imparted to you, during the retelling of the anecdote.
Then it might have made better mathematical and financial sense, and MBK wouldn't have managed to conflate and confuse the situation.

I usually know which probing questions to ask to expose b/s.
Sometimes the orator runs away, and ignores the question, such as MBK and his "Shared Equity Release scheme", or the loan repayment in a Home Reversion scheme.
Other times the poster, such as Ivor, spineless or filly, disappears for a day or so, only to reappear in full "I didn't see the question" mode.
