Can standard T8 fluorensent tubes be used in a high frequency fitting or do they need to be high freq tubes?

Never heard of HF tubes. So i presume normal tubes will suffice. Wait for 2nd op though.

When I worked for a company manufacturing 12 volt invertor driven florescent fittings it was ordinary tubes we used.

Also, I have seen relampers use the same tubes in HF and switch start fittings.

Yes, it's definitely fine to use standard T8 tubes in either case.
