6 factories?

Those would use up 6 of the new Kinzhals. We're going to need a dome.
What are we going to use for that? Fish'n chip wrappers? Do they work on hypersonic missiles?
Russia is reckoned to have produced over a million drones now.

Perhaps we'd do better to buy yanks' ones and do a deal of some sort.

No wonder America wants a golden dome -Trump had to go one betterer than Israel's Iron dome - to counter the Russian threat.

Since their largesse won't extend across the pond the UK must upgrade security for the 21st century.

Patriot batteries can shoot them down, or you take out their jets before they launch as they only have around 400km range. As for drones we do need to adjust rapidly.

We should be setting up joint production facilities with Ukraine.

The only two countries with up to date drone warfare are Russia and Ukraine. China has all the manufacturing and Israel has experience hunting civilians with drones in an uncontested space.

Of all of the only Ukraine is friendly and has experience we can benefit from.

Good news! Russia just lost around 1/3 of it's aircraft capable of launching Kinzhals or similar cruise missiles.

Nothing idiotic about developing our own dome jointly withe European allies. We’re the target not the US which has basically told us you’re on your own defence wise

I reckon that between us and the Germans we could reverse engineer some Patriots pretty quickly.

I seem to recall watching Ben Wallace, surely one of the better defence secretaries we've had in recent years (despite his politics), trying to explain to Bozo why the army still needs tanks and self-propelled guns and why we needed to expand defence manufacturing in the UK. Complete waste of time as far as I could see. We've had 35 years of cuts to defence and it's starting to.look like it will definitely bite us in the ass if we don't start doing stuff, pronto. Talking about buying Patriots from an unreliable partner like King Donald should be ruled out - co-operation with our European neighbours like Germany, France, Italy and others is needed more than ever, despite what Brexiteers think

Yes, they were certainly reliable partners where the Covid vaccine was concerned.

They proved then, and have proven since that they would sh1t on us as soon as look at us.

You voted to leave the EU, we left the EU…..and yet here you are whining how the EU put themselves first not UK.

Oh by the way, the EU were still very good to us, they kept supplying vaccine components despite global shortages

I'm not whining, I'm simply stating that the EU never were and never will be reliable partners and demonstrated that fact by pointing out how they tried to sh1t on us with the covid vaccine, not doubt they would do the same in a defence agreement.
