The other morning as I unlocked our front door I noticed the handle was really loose, when I looked further I noticed that there were "tool" marks around the outside lock part where someone had tried to get in.

It has prompted me to look abit more closely at our security and as such I installed PIR lights at the front and back of our property and I am now thinking of some kind of video security.

Im thinking of maybe having two cameras for front and back and maybe cameras inside the house (maybe webcams) to monitor inside the house.

I think id rather have a system I can buy that I can add to, so maybe a recorder and 1 camera to start with and then upgrade to more as funds allow.

I dont have a massive house or anything, just standard terrace house so obviously I dont need to protect the crown jewels but as someone has already tried once I want to start to make it more difficult for them.

How does this sound, any ideas?

I think budget wise Im probably thinking of around £250 mark for starters.

thanks in advance.
